StarCraft SOLO Quick Start Guide

Open the Box

Unpack your SOLO and make sure nothing is missing. Remove the StarCraft SOLO along with the supplies in the box. Set the box and packing materials aside. In the box, you will find the StarCraft SOLO, cutting mat, blade holder, plastic protective tube that houses the blade, power supply, USB cord, three blades-two reds, one blue, and a test pen with one refill.

Cut the Wraps

From the back of the machine, cut the two plastic zip ties (tie wraps) securing the blade carriage to the chassis of the machine. Be careful to not cut the black cable. Kitchen scissors, snips, or diagonal cutting pliers (dikes) are recommended for making the cuts.

Insert the Blade

Open the plastic protective tube and remove the red blade holder. Press in and hold the silver button on the end, and gently insert the blade into the other end of the blade holder. Use the brass ring to loosen the blade, then the silver ring to adjust blade depth. Then tighten the brass ring to lock in place. Insert the blade holder into the housing unit on the SOLO itself.

Plug it In

Plug in the USB cable into the side of the SOLO using the USB type B end of the cable and the other USB type A end into your computer. Then plug in the 2-piece power supply into the side of the SOLO.

Turn on SOLO

You will find the power button just below the touch screen display on the right hand side of the machine's front.

Install CREATE

Download and install StarCraft's CREATE Software, free with purchase of a SOLO.

Activate CREATE

Retrieve the serial number from the bottom of your machine. Go to StarCraftVinyl.com/CREATE. Enter your serial number and retrieve your activation code for CREATE.

CREATE your Art!
